Eight years later, Brown is back with King Jammy Presents: Dennis Brown Tracks of Life, which was released on September 14 by VP/Greensleeves Records. Featuring contemporary acts in reggae and dancehall collaborating with Brown on some of his classic songs, it entered at number five with 113 copies sold.
The Crown Prince reached number 42 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Chart in 1982 (then known as the Hot Black Singles Chart) with the Willie-Lindo produced Love Has Found its Way. The album of the same name, released by A&M Records, reached number 36 on the R&B Albums Chart.
King Jammy Presents: Dennis Brown Tracks of Life was produced by veteran Lloyd “King Jammy” James. Damian Marley, DYCR, Alborosie, Busy Signal, Bounty Killer, Protoje, Projexx, Romain Virgo, Agent Sasco, Jesse Royal, and Aza Lineage are some of the artistes who worked on the project.
Sting and Shaggy’s 44/876 returns to number one spot with an additional 826 copies sold, a slight dip from the 880 copies it moved the previous week. To date, the album has sold 46, 276 copies since its April 20 release.
Free Rein by Rebelution debuted at number one 14 weeks ago and has been a top 10 mainstay since. This week it inches up to number two with 174 copies sold last week, a drop from the 298 copies it registered the previous week. To date, Free Rein has moved 17, 407 copies.
Last week’s chart-topper, South of 5th by Mayday, drops to number three with 160 copies. The week before it debuted at number one with 1,767 copies.

Slightly Stoopid’s Everyday Life, Everyday People moves to number four, selling 157 copies for total sales of 13,138.
Lovers Rock by British singer Estelle is number six, with another 104 copies sold. The previous week, it sold 477 copies.
Rebellion Rises by Ziggy Marley is number seven, while Iration’s self-titled set is number eight.
I Don’t Want: The Gold Fire Sessions by Santigold is number nine with 2, 059 copies sold. Stony Hill by Damian Marley rounds out the Top 10 with 21, 903 copies sold since it was released in July 2017.
